Description:
Tempo Training is a mobile application designed to assist athletes in structuring their workouts using the Time Under Tension (TUT) method. This approach emphasizes controlled movement phases—eccentric (lowering), isometric (holding), concentric (lifting), and another isometric phase (top hold)—to optimize muscle engagement and growth. The app allows users to set specific tempos for each phase, facilitating precise and intentional training sessions. Ideal for strength training enthusiasts aiming to enhance muscle control and development, Tempo Training offers a straightforward interface to track and manage workout routines effectively.
How to use:
Open the app and set your desired tempo using four counts: Eccentric (DOWN), Bottom Hold, Concentric (UP), and Top Hold. Determine your starting position for the exercise; for movements like squats or bench presses, begin from a standing or extended position. Input your sets, reps, and rest intervals. During your workout, follow the audible and visual cues provided by the app for each phase of the movement. If you cannot complete the prescribed reps in a set, use the "SKIP" function to end the set and automatically start the rest period. For varied rep schemes, set the highest rep number for the workout and "SKIP" the sets after achieving your target reps. Utilize the app's acoustic and visual feedback to maintain the correct tempo throughout your training session.
