Messenger SMS

Enable SMS in Messenger: Open the Messenger app, go to settings, and enable the option to use Messenger as your default SMS app. Send SMS Messages: Once enabled, you can send SMS texts directly from Messenger by selecting a contact who prefers SMS communication. Messages sent through SMS will appear in purple (or the designated color for SMS), while Messenger messages appear in blue. Receive SMS: Incoming SMS texts will show up in your Messenger app just like regular messages, but they will be marked as SMS to differentiate them from Messenger chats. Manage SMS and Messenger in One Place: Easily switch between SMS and Messenger chats without needing multiple apps. Your SMS texts will appear in the same chat feed, making it simple to manage all conversations. Use Messenger Features for SMS: While sending SMS, you can still enjoy features like emojis, stickers, and quick replies, though some features like voice messages or GIFs may not work with SMS. Switch Back Anytime: If you prefer separating your SMS and Messenger chats, simply go back to settings and disable the SMS feature to revert to your default messaging app.
