Be Closer: Family location

For Family Members: Download the Be Closer App: Start by downloading the Be Closer app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Alternatively, you can visit the Be Closer website for more information and to sign up. Create an Account or Log In: If you're a new user, sign up by entering your email address, creating a password, and providing basic personal information such as your name and family details. If you already have an account, simply log in using your email and password. Add Family Members: Once logged in, you can add family members to your family group by inviting them through their email addresses or phone numbers. Family members will need to accept your invitation to join your group and share their location. Set Up Location Sharing: Enable location sharing for each family member, allowing the app to track their real-time location via GPS. You can control who can see your location at any given time by adjusting the app’s privacy settings. You can customize the frequency of location updates based on how often you want to check in. Create Geo-Fences: Geo-fencing allows you to set up virtual boundaries for your family members. You can receive instant notifications when someone enters or leaves a designated area (e.g., their school, a park, or a shopping mall). To create a geo-fence, simply tap the “Create Fence” button, choose a location on the map, and set the radius for the area. Track Family Members in Real-Time: Use the real-time tracking feature to see where each family member is currently located. This provides you with peace of mind knowing that you can check on your loved ones at any time. Family members’ locations will be displayed on a map, and you can tap on their icons to get more information or view their recent movements. Set Up Notifications: Enable instant notifications for when a family member arrives or leaves a specific location, such as home, school, or a specific event. This feature helps keep you informed of your loved ones’ whereabouts without constantly checking the app. View Location History: The app stores location history, so you can view where a family member has been over a specific time period. This is especially useful for monitoring younger children or elderly family members, ensuring they are following their regular routines and staying safe. Manage Family Group Settings: You can manage and update your family group settings at any time, including adding or removing family members, changing privacy preferences, or adjusting location-sharing settings. Family members can update their own settings, ensuring they have control over their shared location data. Privacy and Security: Be Closer ensures that all location data is private and only accessible to family members within your group. The app uses secure encryption to protect personal information and ensures that data is not shared with third parties. Use Additional Features: Depending on the version of the app, there may be additional features such as emergency alerts, activity tracking, or the ability to share specific locations with family members, like when a child is on their way home or has reached a destination. Leave Feedback or Report Issues: If you encounter any issues or have suggestions for the app, you can use the feedback feature to report problems or share your thoughts with the Be Closer development team.
